Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a licensed Physical Therapist to provide specialized services within a K-12 educational setting. The role is located in Appleton, WI, and involves working full-time over a 12-week contract period starting in mid-February.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to a caseload of approximately 26 students with a range of disabilities aged 3 to 21
- Work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Experience providing PT services in a school setting preferred
- Ability to work effectively with children and young adults with diverse physical needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate within interdisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations is an asset
- Reliable and flexible to meet the requirements of the school calendar and student needs
Location:Multiple elementary, middle, and high schools in Appleton, WI, including elementary and secondary educational environments.
